Jamaican singer, actress and supermodel born on May 19, 1948 in Spanish Town, Jamaica, West Indies. She moved to Syracuse, New York, in her early teens, where her parents had relocated and founded the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. She moved to New York at 18 and began a modelling career that took her to Paris where she worked for , and and photographers such as and . I always loved this song, I bought Portfolio just as it was released and still listen to it to this day. One thing I could never figure out is the lyrics--if Grace is admonishing her lover for his jealousy, and she has a another love coming from so far away, then why is she sorry? For years I thought she is apologizing for not being able to handle his jealousy, but after online lyrics became available I realized she doesn't say that. Is she 'owning' his feelings? Maybe a French lyricist translation issue?
