Review by Kallol Kundu

Hermanas Padilla's latest album, Volumen 2, is a vibrant and soulful collection of traditional Mexican music. The sisters' rich and powerful voices are beautifully complemented by the intricate instrumentation and arrangements, creating a truly immersive and captivating listening experience.

From the lively rhythms of "La Bamba" and "El Jarabe Tapatío" to the haunting melodies of "La Llorona" and "Cielito Lindo," every track on Volumen 2 is a testament to the sisters' musical prowess and deep connection to their cultural heritage.

The album also features several new compositions, including the poignant "Adiós a México," which showcases the sisters' ability to infuse their music with modern sensibilities while still staying true to their roots.
