About Wesley Tuttle

Born December 13, 1917 in Lamar, Colorado; died September 29, 2003 in Los Angeles, California. He married actress Marilyn Myers in 1946. Wesley began his career with Stuart Hamblen when only 13. He also worked with "Sons of the Pioneers" and the "Beverly Hillbillies" during his early years as an entertainer. In 1944 he signed a contract with Capitol records and his fourth record release, "Detour," reached more than a million in sales! He remained with Capitol until 1957, when he gave up his professional activities to enter full time service for the Lord. In 1957 Wesley foresook the material things of life to enter full time Christian service with his wife, Marilyn. By faith, the Tuttles started a Christian supply store in Pacoima, Calif., their home town, in August 1957, but almost every waking hour they were not engaged there, the couple were singing and giving testimony at church and evangelistic services for which they were in great demand.
